Mattress Cleaning

Mattress cleaning that dries, rather than soaks.

A mattress cannot be carried outside and rinsed. We clean it where it lies, using low moisture and targeted extraction, so marks, soiling and odour lift without leaving it wet through.

How it works

A mattress is the one thing you cannot over-wet

You spend a third of your life on it, and it collects what you would expect: sweat, body oils, spills and, in plenty of homes, the dog. None of that comes out with a vacuum alone.

The constraint is water. A mattress has no backing to protect it and no way to dry from underneath, so soaking one is how you end up with a damp core and a worse smell than you started with. We work at low moisture and extract as we go.

We check the mattress first. Some are suitable and some are not, and you will hear which yours is before we start rather than afterwards.

Mattress cleaning FAQs

How long does a mattress take to dry?

Because we work at low moisture rather than soaking it, most mattresses are dry enough to make the bed up the same evening. We run air movers before we leave, and an aired room speeds it up further.

Sometimes. Memory foam holds moisture and tolerates very little water, so it needs a lighter touch and not every one is suitable. We check before starting and tell you if yours is not.

Usually, where the source sits in the surface. Odour that has soaked into the core of the mattress is a different problem, and we will say so rather than take payment for a treatment that will not hold.

Where the mattress can be turned safely and there is room to do it, yes. Heavy, fixed or very large mattresses may only be reachable on one side, and we will tell you on the day rather than quietly skip it.

Public liability on its own does not cover damage to the thing being cleaned. Our policy adds treatment risk and damage to property worked upon, up to £2 million, which is the cover that actually applies if a carpet or a sofa is damaged during a clean.

It is worth asking any carpet cleaner for that specifically. Plenty carry public liability alone and still describe themselves as fully insured, and the difference only shows up at the point you need it.
