Stain removal that is honest about what will lift and what will not.
Wine, coffee, tea, curry, grease, ink, make-up and the rest. Some lift completely, some improve, and a few are permanent from the moment they land. We will tell you which yours is before we start rather than afterwards.
- Fibre-safe treatment
- Photo-backed report
- Treatment risk insured
Most stains are set by the first attempt, not the spill
Most of the stains we are called out to were survivable when they happened. What set them was the first attempt: scrubbing, which drives the spill into the backing and distorts the pile, or a supermarket bottle that left a sticky residue behind and turned one mark into a patch that attracts dirt.
The stain and the fibre both matter. Coffee on wool behaves nothing like coffee on polypropylene, and a treatment that is safe on one can strip colour from the other. We identify both before choosing anything, and we test somewhere hidden if there is any doubt at all.
Some things genuinely do not come out. Dye transfer from a rug backing, bleach, and old ink have removed the colour rather than added to it, and no amount of cleaning puts colour back. Where that is what we are looking at, we will say so instead of charging you to find out.

02Treat
A treatment chosen for that stain and that fibre, tested first where there is any doubt.
03Extract
The area is extracted thoroughly so no residue is left behind to attract fresh soil.

What your quote is based on
Pet work is quoted on how far the contamination has actually gone, not just what you can see on the surface. Three things decide the number.
Spread
How much is affected
- One contained spot or several
- A single room or a whole floor
- Whether it has been walked through since
Depth
How far it soaked in
- Surface marks lift readily
- Anything that reached the backing
- The same spot marked more than once
Age
How long it has been there
- Fresh spills lift most easily
- Older marks take more work
- Previous DIY attempts can set a stain
Pet stain & odour FAQs
Will you get red wine out?
Usually a good deal of it, and sometimes all of it, depending on how long it has been there and what the carpet is made of. Fresh wine on a synthetic carpet often lifts completely. The same spill left for a fortnight on wool is a different conversation.
What we will not do is promise it before we have looked at it.
What will not come out?
Bleach marks, dye transfer from a rug or a cheap doormat, sun fading, and most old ink. These have taken colour out of the fibre rather than putting something on top of it, so there is nothing to lift.
Heat-set stains are the other one. If something hot has been spilled and then walked on, the dye can bond to the fibre permanently. We will tell you when that is what we are looking at.
Can stain removal be added to a full clean?
Yes, and it usually makes sense to. Treating one patch on an otherwise dirty carpet tends to leave a clean spot that draws the eye more than the stain did.
Most people have the room cleaned and the stain treated in the same visit, which is quoted as one job rather than two.
I have already tried a supermarket stain remover. Does that matter?
It matters, but it is rarely fatal. Tell us what you used and we will work around it.
The common problem is residue: a lot of retail products leave something sticky behind that re-soils within weeks, so the mark appears to come back. That residue can be extracted. What is harder to undo is a product that has bleached or stripped colour, which is why it is worth asking before reaching for the bottle next time.
You say insured. Insured for what, exactly?
Public liability on its own does not cover damage to the thing being cleaned. Our policy adds treatment risk and damage to property worked upon, up to £2 million, which is the cover that actually applies if a carpet or a sofa is damaged during a clean.
It is worth asking any carpet cleaner for that specifically. Plenty carry public liability alone and still describe themselves as fully insured, and the difference only shows up at the point you need it.

Communication from the start was spot on. Victor who did the job was brilliant and extremely professional. He even managed to get up some spots of black paint which I had spilt and finished the job with some lovely carpet spray which smelt of fresh washing. My carpet is spotless! Victor also told me that Esper's do upholstery so I will definitely be re-booking to have my sofas cleaned. Pricing was fantastic too! Tom was absolutely amazing. He came to our house at very short notice after we had just moved into our new property and unfortunately found the carpets to be in an awful state. He stayed for hours, working relentlessly and repeatedly going over the toughest areas to remove the stains and dirt to the absolute best of his ability. Our main priority was to get the house as dust-free, clean and hygienic as possible, particularly as we have young children with dust allergies. I can say with certainty that, so far, we have had no issues since Tom finished the job, which is a huge difference compared with before he came. Tom is an absolute diamond of a man and went well beyond what we had actually booked him for. I was also struggling with a leaking tap underneath the kitchen sink, another problem we discovered after moving in. Tom initially took the time to explain to me how to fix it myself, but when I couldn’t manage it, he went out of his way to help. He ended up fitting the kitchen tap properly and identifying and fixing THREE separate leaks in the same area! I would have been absolutely lost without his help and support yesterday. His colleague Victor was also fantastic — very friendly, respectful and professional. Nothing seemed too much trouble for either of them. The carpets looked fantastic afterwards and, even better, the whole house smelled amazing from the linen fragrance my wife chose! We will 100% be calling Tom again in the future for any similar work. Once we get our sofas out of storage, if they need cleaning, Tom will be the first person I think of calling. Thank you again, Tom and Victor, for all your hard work and for going so far above and beyond what was expected. Based on the service you provided us, I have absolutely no doubt you’ll continue to do very well. All the best for the future, Tom — genuinely highly recommended!Posted on Google Gerda BerntsenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
