Carpet Cleaning in Aigburth

Carpet cleaning in Aigburth, for period houses and big rooms.

How it works

Aigburth has the largest rooms we regularly clean

The Victorian villas around Aigburth and towards Sefton Park have room sizes most modern houses simply do not, and plenty still have original boards beneath the carpet. Bigger floors take longer, and gaps between boards draw dust up into the pile along the skirtings, which is why the edges get worked properly instead of passed over on the way round.

The clean itself runs in stages. We vacuum thoroughly before any moisture goes down, which lifts dry soil that domestic vacuums leave behind in the pile. A pre-spray loosens what is bonded to the fibre, a counter-rotating brush works it through, and extraction takes it away. Air movers cut the drying time, and you choose the fragrance we finish with.

Common questions

Carpet cleaning in Aigburth: common questions

How long does a carpet take to dry?

Most carpets are dry to walk on within 4–6 hours, and fully dry within 24 hours depending on room ventilation.

In most cases, yes. Deep-set or repeated contamination may need a separate pet treatment — we’ll always inspect and tell you honestly before quoting.

No. Aigburth is just over five miles from us and there is no travel charge for it.

We cover L17, L18 and L19, along with Mossley Hill, Allerton, Grassendale and Sefton Park. If you are just outside that and not sure, send us the postcode and we will tell you straight away rather than leave you guessing.

Public liability on its own does not cover damage to the thing being cleaned. Our policy adds treatment risk and damage to property worked upon, up to £2 million, which is the cover that actually applies if a carpet or a sofa is damaged during a clean.

It is worth asking any carpet cleaner for that specifically. Plenty carry public liability alone and still describe themselves as fully insured, and the difference only shows up at the point you need it.

Usually, but it has to be treated differently from synthetic. Wool holds water much longer, it can shrink if it is over-wetted, and the dyes in older carpet are not always colour-fast.

We identify the fibre and test the colour somewhere hidden before anything goes near the visible pile. If we are not happy with how it reacts, we will say so rather than take the risk with your carpet.
