Carpet Cleaning in Woolton

Carpet cleaning in Woolton, where the houses are older than most.

How it works

Older village housing needs a gentler hand

Woolton has some of the oldest housing stock we work in, and better carpet comes with it: more wool, more period rooms, more of the kind of flooring that costs a great deal to replace and is worth cleaning properly instead. Wool holds water far longer than synthetic and can shrink if it is over-wetted, so the fibre and the colour both get tested before anything else happens.

The clean itself runs in stages. We vacuum thoroughly before any moisture goes down, which lifts dry soil that domestic vacuums leave behind in the pile. A pre-spray loosens what is bonded to the fibre, a counter-rotating brush works it through, and extraction takes it away. Air movers cut the drying time, and you choose the fragrance we finish with.

Common questions

Carpet cleaning in Woolton: common questions

How long does a carpet take to dry?

Most carpets are dry to walk on within 4–6 hours, and fully dry within 24 hours depending on room ventilation.

In most cases, yes. Deep-set or repeated contamination may need a separate pet treatment — we’ll always inspect and tell you honestly before quoting.

No. Woolton is just over three miles from us in Whiston and well inside the area we cover, with no travel charge.

We cover L25 and L26, along with Gateacre, Hunts Cross, Allerton and Halewood. If you are just outside that and not sure, send us the postcode and we will tell you straight away rather than leave you guessing.

Public liability on its own does not cover damage to the thing being cleaned. Our policy adds treatment risk and damage to property worked upon, up to £2 million, which is the cover that actually applies if a carpet or a sofa is damaged during a clean.

It is worth asking any carpet cleaner for that specifically. Plenty carry public liability alone and still describe themselves as fully insured, and the difference only shows up at the point you need it.

Usually, but it has to be treated differently from synthetic. Wool holds water much longer, it can shrink if it is over-wetted, and the dyes in older carpet are not always colour-fast.

We identify the fibre and test the colour somewhere hidden before anything goes near the visible pile. If we are not happy with how it reacts, we will say so rather than take the risk with your carpet.
